St Helen School

There are many ways to support St. Helen School including Friday Bingo, our online bookstore, online shopping with Schoolpop and Marketday.

Market Day - St. Helen also has Market Day once a month! Open to the community, Market Day is a unique fundraiser offering a wide selection of over 180 high quality foods -- many of which are not available in your grocery store--at competitive prices. Orders can be placed online at www.marketday.com. Select St. Helen - No. 5652 as your beneficiary and St. Helen will receive a 10% contribution on your order. Pick up is typically the first Saturday of the month at 10:45 a.m. in the School Gym (Social Center).

Market Day products are also available through Peapod, www.peapod.com. Select St. Helen - No. MD5652 as your beneficiary. Your Market Day order will be delivered to your home with your next grocery order and St. Helen will receive a 5% contribution on all Market Day products purchased. The St. Helen Festival held September 21-24, 2006  featured carnival rides, musical performances, ethnic food, and other attractions. Two of our community newspapers, Gazette and Chicago Journal, supported the Festival at the silver level. The Chicago Journal celebrates its one-year anniversary of coverage in the Bucktown, Wicker Park, Ukrainian Village and West Town neighborhoods. We are currently seeking donors and sponsors! Festival sponsorship is a great way for local businesses and organizations to get their name in front of potential customers.  Click here to download the Sponsor Form. The St. Helen Festival is scheduled for
September 21-24, 2006 and will feature carnival rides, musical performances, ethnic food, and other attractions. The annual Festival raises funds to keep St. Helen School’s excellent educational program affordable to families of all sizes and backgrounds. The St. Helen Family and School Association will hold its fourth annual Christmas Arts and Crafts Fair on Sunday, December 4th from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Family activities will include pictures with Santa, as well as arts and crafts make-and-take activities for children. Hand crafted gift items will be available for sale.  Student performances will take place from 1:00-2:00 p.m.

Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held on Thursday, Nov. 10th for grades K-8. All conference time request forms will be in the home folders on Thursday, Oct. 26th. Please return the form to your child's teacher by Monday, Oct. 31st.

The filming with ABC News and the children went well on Tuesday, Oct. 25th. The segment will air over four days during the week of Thanksgiving. I will give you additional information regrading exact times of the broadcasts as soon as I hear.
